I am Anniqa Manzoor, a dedicated psychologist with a strong background in clinical and academic work. My journey in mental health began at Abbottabad International Medical College and Hospital, where I had the privilege of working closely with patients, providing tailored therapeutic care and support. This experience allowed me to deepen my understanding of diverse psychological challenges and develop compassionate approaches to helping individuals heal and thrive.
In addition to my work at the medical college, I served at the Neuro Clinic in Abbottabad, focusing on neuropsychological assessments and treatments. My commitment to continuous learning has led me to attend various specialized seminars, including sessions on child abuse and interpersonal psychotherapy in depression at the Pak Irish Rehabilitation Center in Abbottabad. These opportunities enhanced my ability to address complex psychological conditions and offer effective interventions.
I have also had the honor of participating in the Second International Conference on Substance Use Challenges at Hazara University, Mansehra. This experience expanded my knowledge of addiction and its impact on individuals and society, enabling me to adopt a more holistic approach to treatment.
My passion for mental health extends to research as well. I conducted a study on Perceived Stress and Coping Strategies Used by University Students During COVID-19, exploring how young adults managed psychological stress during a global crisis. This research has deepened my understanding of resilience and coping mechanisms, which I incorporate into my practice to better support my clients.
I have experience helping people with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. My work at Abbottabad International Medical College and the Neuro Clinic has allowed me to understand different mental health problems and create personalized therapy plans. I focus on using proven methods to help clients feel better and improve their emotional well-being.
I also specialize in working with children and teenagers, especially those dealing with emotional and behavioral challenges. By attending seminars on topics like child abuse and interpersonal therapy for depression, I’ve gained skills to support younger clients effectively. My work in neuropsychology has also helped me understand how the brain affects mental health, which is valuable in supporting clients with neurological concerns.
I have a strong interest in stress management and coping strategies, inspired by my research on how university students handled stress during COVID-19. I use practical approaches to help clients build resilience and better handle life’s challenges. Whether it’s managing stress, healing from trauma, or improving relationships, I am dedicated to helping clients lead healthier and happier lives.
